Grumman Martlet MK1 AL 246

Following the success of the Corsair KD 431 restoration project, the Museum Engineering team will begin a similar project with the Grumman Martlet.

AL 246 dates from 1940 and is believed to be the oldest surviving, complete Martlet left in existence.

A long term, in-depth research project will now begin, to determine the exact history of AL 246 and also to investigate what remains of the various paint schemes on the aircraft.
